Windows Factory Pty Ltd specialise in the supply and installation of uPVC double glazed windows and doors and take pride in providing excellent customer service and an even better finished product. We are a very close team who work together throughout every challenge and make sure we are all with each other every step of the way. We are a company that prides ourselves on team camaraderie and expect the successful applicant to have the same values.

We operate remotely and the start time each day is on site at 7:30am wherever the job may be. All windows/doors are delivered to site and all tools required are always in the work vans. The address shown is only where our factory is, not where you will go to start each day. We operate as a business that starts on site each day with materials etc being delivered to site. Our main areas of work are the surrounds of the CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Blue Mountains and Southern Highlands. In saying that, we work all over Sydney and sometimes regional.

Previous experience installing windows of any kind will be highly regarded. We are happy to go down the path of a sponsorship for the right applicant if from abroad and looking to work in Sydney, Australia (Do not apply for the job with the hope of a sponsorship unless you have significant skills and experience in installing windows and doors).

Qualifications & experience

• WHS/OHS White card
• Experience communicating with clients both on the phone and in person
• Experience communicating with supervisors both on the phone and in person
• Drivers license (Red P plate or equivalent minimum)
• Having experience doing window carpentry (reveals, architraves along with other basic carpentry skills) will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Previous experience installing windows of any kind will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Carpentry apprenticeships and glazing apprenticeships will be highly regarded.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Remove old windows from exsting dwellings and install uPVC double glazed windows and doors using a range of different installation techniques.
• Install reveals, architraves, trim and other finishes to installed windows.
• Seal all windows as required.
• Strong communicator both digitally and in person.
• Engage with clients and be able to communicate effectively any issues or queries you may have regarding the job and their requests.
• Be able to primarily work in a team environment but also be able to work alone if required.
• Be able to problem solve on the run.
• List and document outstanding items, problems or anything else on jobs so that the whole team can be aware of the situation. We use digital platforms to share this information throughout the team and expect the successful candidate to do the same.
• Be able to discuss anything, whether it be positive or negative, in a team environment without hesitation.
• Be clean and particular about the details of the work being conducted.
• Treat all tools, vans and other possessions of the company like your own.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 – $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
