About Candidate

My name is Karthik, and I’m a seasoned UX leader from India with over 10 years of experience solving diverse design challenges. Since 2016, I’ve had the privilege of building and nurturing a 30-member cross-functional UX team from scratch at Mercedes-Benz R&D India Division. Over these eight years, I’ve honed my expertise and leadership skills, and I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute these to your organization as a UX leader.

Skills : User Experience, Product Design, User Research, Interaction Design, Design Thinking, Prototyping, Usability, Information Architecture, UX Team Building and Mentoring, Build UX culture during Digital Transformation, Utilising the potential of Generative AI and Prompt Engineering Techniques.

Here’s how I can add value to the project team in a very unique way:

1. Unique Research-Driven Methodology
I’ve developed a proven and distinguished approach to UX that combines the analysis of mental models around recurring UI patterns with a minimalist design process guided by a north star metric strategy. This methodology delivers exceptional quality in a remarkably short timeframe, enabling teams to improve productivity by up to 3x.

2. Comprehensive Categorization of Use Cases
Through extensive research, I’ve classified UX and product design use cases into five technical categories across domains. This structured classification enables quick visualization of solutions and workflows, ensuring complete scenario coverage and 360-degree thinking. It prevents loopholes in the product’s user journey, enhances end-user security, and significantly boosts task success rates. By mapping any global use case to one of these categories, I can ensure faster turnaround times and an elevated user experience without compromising quality.

3. The Importance of Validation Hypothesis
When building an MVP, one critical step often overlooked by UX teams worldwide is the validation hypothesis at the project’s inception. I prioritize this approach, investing time in defining and validating hypotheses to ensure the project is on the right track from the start. This focus not only mitigates risks but also significantly enhances the likelihood of success for the project team.

4. Applying Design Thinking to Solve Organizational and Business Challenges
Design thinking is often misunderstood as a tool solely for addressing UX problems. In reality, it is a versatile thinking framework that can tackle larger, more complex challenges within an organization. I have successfully applied design thinking in combine with qualitative user research methodology to solve critical organizational problem statements, achieving measurable success.

My approach goes beyond encouraging teams to use design thinking as a project-level process. I guide them to leverage it for understanding and aligning with business goals. This fosters vision-driven UX designers and software engineers, ultimately building an objective-focused team that delivers impactful, goal-oriented results.

I have many more strategic approaches and ideas that can contribute to the success of your team. However, I’ll pause here to keep things concise. If any of these concepts resonate with you or if you’d like to explore them further, I’d be delighted to discuss them in detail. Please feel free to book a discussion slot with me—I look forward to the opportunity to connect.

Warm regards,
