Job Summary:
As a Civil Supervisor, you will oversee and coordinate civil construction activities on-site to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will supervise a team of workers and subcontractors, monitor daily progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and report to the site manager or project manager.
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervision and Coordination: Oversee all on-site activities, including the work of laborers, subcontractors, and other construction professionals. Ensure tasks are completed according to design specifications, project plans, and safety guidelines.
-Quality Control: Inspect work areas and ensure all work is done according to quality standards, specifications, and design documents. Address any deficiencies promptly.
-Safety Management: Ensure that all safety protocols are followed, conduct regular safety checks, and promote a culture of safety among all site workers.
Project Planning and Scheduling: Assist in planning daily and weekly work schedules, allocate resources efficiently, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
-Reporting:Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports, documenting work completed, any delays, and resource needs to the project manager.
– Material Management:Monitor and manage the use of materials on-site to minimize waste, track inventory levels, and coordinate with the procurement team for timely delivery of materials.
– Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with the project manager, clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of the project.
– Problem Solving: Identify any issues or conflicts on-site, propose solutions, and work to resolve them promptly to avoid delays or additional costs.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
– Minimum 3 years of experience in civil construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
– Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and materials.
– Excellent leadership and team management skills.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
– Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
– Good communication and interpersonal skills.
– Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
– Certification in construction management or a related field.
