Germany to Increase Minimum Wage to €14.60 by 2027!

A significant update has emerged for those working in Germany. Based on the recommendation made by the Minimum Wage Commission appointed by the government, Germany’s minimum wage will be increased to €14.60 per hour by 2027.

Implementation in Two Phases:

  • Phase 1: In January 2026, the current minimum wage of €12.82 per hour will be increased to €13.90.
  • Phase 2: In 2027, it will be further raised by €0.70, setting the wage at €14.60 per hour.

Effects of the Wage Increase:

Who Makes This Decision?

Germany’s Minimum Wage Commission is composed of representatives from trade unions and employer associations.
They review the minimum wage every two years and make recommendations for adjustments.
